We had Yummy Cupcakes at the office this afternoon, which worked out well because it was not only my birthday but also our cupcake-loving intern’s last day. She will be missed!
Sorry for the blurry picture, but I find rainbow sprinkles sooo aesthetically pleasing.
In start color contrast, I ate half of this cupcake (and half of a red velvet). I had to be good, because there’s Funfetti to come!
I used to fantasize about this flavor, but they switched up the frosting, or I was thinking about a different cupcake (Crumbs?). I remembered it having a really thin, sleek frosting, and this frosting was thick and… solid.
Ah well, memories fade and play tricks on us. Nonetheless, the cupcakes were great! And the card was even better! (One person said “Congrats on being 30!” and another said, “How old are you now? Twelve?” Split the difference, and you’re close.)
PS, Speaking of red velvet, Roomie bought a “skinny” cookbook with a recipe for red velvet cake, and BEETS are on the ingredient list. Is that typical?! (Also, another recipe for cupcakes calls for SWEET POTATOES. WHAT?)
After today, I really need to lay off the cake-products. (Although… a few years ago around my birthday I ate so much cake that I joked I was on the “cake diet”… and– even weirder– somehow I ended up losing weight.)
And tonight it’s “Project Runway” and fashion and models… they are definitely not on the cake diet. Ha! Bad life choices! (For somebody…)
